Location. The Winter's Landhotel Eisenach is located in Eisenach, Germany, three kilometres from the city centre, four kilometres from the Burcschenschaftsdenkma monument and eight kilometres from Wartburg castle.

Expert Tip. When in Eisenach, it would be churlish not to visit the Bachaus. A 600 year old house, when it first opened as a museum in 1907, it was thought that Bach was born here. This now seems less certain, but he was definitely born in Eisenach and baptised at this house two days later. There's a collection of material on the life and work of Bach and his family as well as a collection of historic musical instruments.

From Erfurt Airport (ERF):
Distance to Winter's Landhotel Eisenach is 59 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis wait outside the airport and cost about 65 EUR to the hotel. The number 99 bus runs between the airport and the bus station in central Erfurt. Single tickets cost 1.50 EUR. Tram line number 4 runs from outside the airport terminal to Erfurt's main station. Trains run from Erfurt to Eisenach train station, 4 kilometres from the hotel. Prices are subject to change.
Getting around. A hire car is recommended for exploring the surrounding area.
Driving directions. From Erfurt Airport, take interstate A4 in the direction of Frankfurt/Main. Exit at Eisenach Ost.
Turn right into highway B84 in the direction Bad Langensalza.
The hotel is 900 metres along the road on the left hand side.
