Located in downtown Chattanooga on the trolley line, this Chattanooga landmark hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Read House is known for its Georgian architectural style and Southern charm. The quarter sawed English walnut paneling, old fashioned drop mailboxes and elevator dials, and terrazzo poured marble floors give the lobby a stately feel. The hotel is located across the street from a downtown shuttle stop, where a free shuttle carries guests from the Tennessee Aquarium to the Chattanooga Choo Choo and other attractions.
